Our experience of noise monitoring provides a fast and reliable service utilising state of the art measurement equipment that can be left for several days without the need for intervention.
Our noise monitoring experience determines what equipment needs to be utilised depending upon the use for which it is required. A noise nuisance dispute may require different noise monitoring to that of aircraft traffic.
The first stage in many noise assessments is to undertake a noise monitoring exercise. This may be to obtain background noise data for a planning application or to obtain the noise output over a period of time of an item of industrial plant. In either case, the noise monitoring exercise may occur over a relatively short time period (<1 day) or over a lengthened time period (5+ days). Acoustic Plus carries an extensive collection of noise monitoring equipment complete with weatherproof housing that can be left outdoors for significant periods.
The noise monitoring systems that Acoustics Plus supply are installed by us and can be mains or battery powered. The noise monitoring systems that are battery powered can also be linked via GSM to enable us to ’Äòconnect’Äô to the noise monitoring station independently to determine what the current noise climate is or to download noise monitoring information obtained for a specified period. This is particularly useful where noise limits are specified on construction sites. They could also be used as a permanent installation in a nightclub where noise monitoring could provide evidence of internal noise levels in the event of a dispute.
